Guadalupe Estate

The project site is characterized by a thick oak-juniper woodland at the streetfront, which opens up to towering pecans & bald cypress toward the back spectacular views to the Guadalupe River. The proposed residence is bespoke, massed in response to the site’s intrinsic beauty, and utilizes vernacular materials to achieve a contemporary aesthetic. Together, the envisioned site and architecture will serve as a riverside venue for daily life and family gatherings, immersed in hill country beauty. 

Design opportunities include choreographing the arrival experience, screening neighbors, introducing garden moments, creating spaces for play and gathering, diversifying native vegetation, preserving existing trees, and amplifying views of the water.
